Walking with the Lord.
After spending three months in limbo, as plan after plan was canceled, I think we are ready to make plans again. We certainly don't feel as confident as we once did, but we are still planning. There are many sayings regarding making plans. "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry." This was written by a guy named Robert Burns in 1785. Or how about this one, "a man without a plan, plans to fail."
Here is some planning advice found in the Bible, Proverbs 16:1, "We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer." and verse 3, "Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed." Proverbs 16:1, 3 We have already talked about the Lord's plans a couple of times during this COVID season. This verse is absolutely one of my favorite verses because it reminds me that no matter what I attempt to do, God has a blessing in store for me. Let me once again remind you of the truth found in Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." There is real comfort in that for me. I can turn all things over to him and talk to Him about everything. As I relax and trust God, he will reveal to me His direction. Many times, just through calmness and peace of mind. He also uses trusted spiritual sources, but especially His written word, the Bible. Trust Him as you make your plans. "We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps." Proverbs 16:9 NLT Hugs and blessings for your day. I love you.
